PRESENTING a FABULOUS Set of 10 1920s McKinney Antique Brass 4in Door Hinges.

RARE survivors!
Made in the USA by ‘McKinney’ circa 1925-29.
These are without doubt from the Art Nouveau/Art Deco Era.
They were salvaged from a Mansion in Dallas that was built in 1929.
They are all marked for ‘McKinney“ on one side and “Patented June 30 1925. Other Pat’s Pending” on the other side. Each is made from heavy solid antique brass, with a bronze patina.
There is other numbering on each hinge part, but we do not think these numbers have any real significance. Possibly just to ‘match’ up both sides.
These are STANDARD hinges, being 4 inches tall and 4 inches wide when open and 2 inches wide when closed.
They are classic ‘Ball Finial’ hinges.
These would have been used on a heavy interior door.
Each hinge weighs a little under 1lb.
These were originally used in the Mansion we rescued them from, with the most UNIQUE hand-beaten bronze Handles/Knobs (which we have listed separately in this category).
Also, we rescued these from the now demolished Mansion along with the UNIQUE hand beaten Bronze Door Straps and hardware (posted separately) which have no markings and are unlike ANYTHING we have seen before.
We have other McKinney Hinges also rescued from this Mansion (posted separately) both 5 inch and 4.5 inch sets. less
