Mouth-blown, elaborately cut, … Read more 8 + 9 elegant Roman-style wine or hock glasses from the Historicism period, early Art Nouveau 1890-1910. Mouth-blown, elaborately cut, completely handmade. Transparent etched cup and amber-tinted, hollow or beehive stem. The manufacturer is likely Theriesenthal. Two of the larger glasses have tiny flea bites--see photos. One of the After Dinner Glasses has a flea bite so small I can't get it to show in the photo of those 3 glasses.
This set would make an elegant table setting and would be gorgeous on display. Wine Glasses have flower (fuschia?) etching with vining design and hollow stem. Aperitif size has grape leaf/vine etching and 3 rosettes at the top of the beehive stem. The glasses have a beautiful ring.
The Wine glasses stand 5 inches high and 3 1/2 inches wide. The Aperitif glasses stand 6 inches high and are 2 1/5 inches wide.
