Description: A heavy blue and white porcelain charger with a butterfly and peony transfer design. It is very large and will … more A heavy blue and white porcelain charger with a butterfly and peony transfer design. It is very large and will be highly visible.

The charger has a fabric design on the cavetto, and large peony blooms with a butterfly in flight on the well. The cobalt used is a nice deep, dark blue. The underside has four floral designs spaced equidistantly. The foot and base have hand-painted cobalt rings. The glaze is thick, soft, and shiny.

The raised rounded foot is unglazed. The charger has no hallmarks or labels.

MEASUREMENTS

12” (30.5 cm) diameter x 1 ½” (3.8 cm) tall. Weighs 2 lbs 10.9 oz (1215 g)
