French - Midcentury Modern Aluminum and … more Very Rare Midcentury Modern Vintage Verichron Aluminum and Lucite Wall / Table Clock 1960’s
French - Midcentury Modern Aluminum and Lucite Wall and Table Clock manufactured by Verichron. The clock consists of a transparent Lucite face, brushed aluminum frame, recessed black Lucite clock panel with circular hour markers. This retro clock has an atomic modern Jetsons op-art appearance.
The clock is provided with a loop for hanging on a wall while at the same time the 2 1/2” clock depth with the anodized aluminum frame allows the clock to be placed on a table or shelf. I have never seen a clock that is designed to be either wall hung or displayed on a horizontal surface.
The face of the clock is marked Verichron - FRANCE - LIC. ATO. The battery-operated balance movement is marked as follows: JAZ Three Jewels France.
Verichron was the trade name for home and decorative weather instruments marketed by the Harris & Mallow Clock Company. They had a factory in Howell, New Jersey and were in business around the 1960s-1980s.
The clock is in very good vintage condition, with minor age-appropriate wear. The clock keeps good time and operates on a single “C” battery.
This clock is the PERFECT addition to your Mid-Century - Danish Modern interior.
