The newspaper (Independent political affiliation) was first published in 1886 and was one of the first Italian newspapers to print in color. This was the January edition celebrating the holidays and new year. The color scheme of this art is muted neutrals of olive green, deep blues and dark red. The matte is green with a blue inset. The professional gold wood frame has filigree detail along the edges. The original owner noted the artist and details of the piece on the back. See less
