Sidney Yates Johnson what is a prolific English painter of landscapes in oil. He was working from 1890 until about 1926. His work has a distinctive style. His subjects are usually coastal scenes, Highland landscapes, rural settings, and vast mountain ranges. He signed his work by scratching his signature in wet paint.
