Highly collectible original egg tempera painting by Bruce Winston Hafley (American, 1920-2011). Bruce Winston Hafley lived in Atlanta, Georgia, and studied art in the Hague of the Netherlands. He adds an element of amusement to his pieces- this one has a speech balloon coming from the horse's mouth which reads 'horse feathers.' This artwork depicts a prancing horse with a bright red feather headdress. It's professionally presented under glass in a 2" distressed wood frame with an additional 1-1/2" painted linen matte. It is signed and titled on the back and reads, 'Horse Feathers painted by Bruce Hafley November 1965 in the Hague on a board.' A sophisticated and fun piece to add to your collection.
Overall dimensions are 27" wide x 23" high x 1-1/2" deep.
Board itself measures 21" wide x 17" high. less
