- All chairs have been sanded down to the wood by the previous owner and it appears the original finish was … moreAll chairs have been sanded down to the wood by the previous owner and it appears the original finish was black, then subsequently painted creamy white. They are not perfectly sanded as there are still remnants of black and creamy white finish so they could use some additional work, although I enjoyed them as they are. The rush seats were also replaced by the previous owner and are in good condition. The chairs are fairly lightweight and three of the chairs are sturdy. One has a loose front stretcher that needs repair and slight damage to the ball foot as shown in the photos. Please feel free to ask any questions. less
