This is for a unique Victorian tea set that is from Simpson Hall and Miller Co. The pieces are marked Treble plate and with pattern number 1868. They also marked with made in Wallingford Conn. Dates made from approx. 1866 -1898 (most likely 1868 due to the pattern number). The set includes 4 pieces from Simpson Hall and Miller of a tea pot, waste, creamer and sugar with lid. The tray is from a different maker and is silverplate and I paired these together as I felt both brands are decorative yet with a streamlined look. I included an add for the company in the pictures as I love the vintage art of the older advertising pieces!
(**Treble Plate - This stamp means that three layers of silver plating were applied to a base metal during manufacturing)
The pieces measure:
Tray - 24 inches wide x 14.5 inches deep x 1 inches tall
Tea pot - 8.5 inches tall x 10 inches wide x 4.5 inches deep
Creamer - 5.5 inches tall x 6 inches wide x 3 inches deep
Sugar with lid - 7.5 inches tall x 7.5 inches wide x 4 inches deep
Waste pot - 4.5 inches tall x 5.5 inches wide x 3.5 inches deep
This lovely set is in very nice condition with one small spot on the tray shown in pics and slight wear on the creamer front. This set is very clean on the inside and is ready to use and display for years to come.
Majority of my items for sale are pre-loved treasures that were most likely purchased at a local Estate Sale or a local resale shop in Arizona. I may or may not know details but do spend time researching information to provide details the best I can and to pass along fair prices.
