A light as a feather - a very fine Chinese 'eggshell' porcelain bowl hand painted inside and out.

Until one has actually held a piece like this in ones hands, it's hard to comprehend the skill it takes to make a item like this.
The outside in a millefiori design interspersed with colorful dragons against a gold / gilt background.
The inside with a central green dragon in a gold medallion surrounded by a multicolored Ruyi border. Pink and blue Ruyi border at top rim (inside and out) and an emerald green crashing wave border at base.
A few of the photographs have light shining down onto the piece to show its' transparentness.
Comes with original padded box with bone clasps.
Mid 20th century. A exceptionally pretty as well as sizeable bowl - we have stands available for sale if required. These bowls are very fragile and we were very happy to find one of this size that has 'survived' the test of time.
Acquired from a collector of fine Chinese porcelains who has amassed such over the last 40 years.
Excellent condition.
