Purchased in Europe in the 90s this quartet is sure to impress your dinner guests.
Made by the well known French company Christofle, makers of fine pieces since 1830.
Providing each dinner guests with their own personal salt and pepper shakers has always been a mark of elegance, but I cannot see why it has to be just for elegant dinner parties. It is a pretty convenient way to set one's table, thereby eliminating any need for someone to have to "reach" for the shakers or ask that they be passed down the table. So in my mind, not only are they functional, but they add a fine little detail to your set table.
They are, of course petite, only measuring a cute 1" diameter x 1.5" tall.
They are in very good vintage condition.
