Beautiful light begins the day. A bird sits on the fence. A windmill waits for the first breeze.
Dimensions 10" x 14". The frame measures 20 3/4" x 17".
Signed lower right. Very good condition. The frame is lightly distressed and needs a light cleaning (see pics)
Born in Lompoc, CA on Oct. 9, 1905. Hibbits studied at the CCAC and worked in San Francisco as a commercial illustrator during the 1930s. After WWII, he taught at the Santa Barbara Art Institute. His fine art includes representational landscapes and abstracts. He died in Lompoc on July 6, 1996. Exh: San Francisco Art Association, 1935, 1941; Calif. WC Society, 1948-53. less
