This handsome antique rocker likely dates back to the late 1700's or early … more Rare, handmade, "Spoon-Spindle," shaped-back, Windsor rocking chair. This handsome antique rocker likely dates back to the late 1700's or early 1800's, though I don't know for sure. It belonged to my antique-collecting family for well over 60 years. The saddle seat is a real classic and very clean. I rocked all my babies and grand babies in this chair. It's very comfortable, and at one time I made cushions for even more comfort.
This is a very rare, solid piece with beautifully mortised pass-through dowels. Well-maintained and in very good condition, its beautiful oak patina makes a perfect impression in almost any setting. less
