Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso technique Italian art glass owl sculpture. Documented to the Salviati Company, and signed "Salviati" underneath. The own has white on clear murrines for the eyes and stands on a clear glass pedestal. The fade between colors is pretty sharp, from a dark merlot red (almost black) on the head, to a peachy color throughout the body. Made in solid glass. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or console table. Mid-century era. Gorgeous and rare color. Measures: 7 5/8” tall x 3 3/4" long x 3 1/4" wide.
