Fabulous Original Engraving Art of Flemish Royal Courtyard from the Gallery of B. Altman & Co. In Excellent Original Condition.
B. Altman & Co. began as a family-run store in Manhattan, New York, becoming solely owned by Benjamin Altman in 1865. By 1906, Altman's had expanded into a luxurious, block-long department store which opened on Fifth Avenue and offered its clientele home furnishings, art, ready to wear and custom made clothing crafted from a huge selection of fine imported fabrics.
The subject matter of the works is the Flemish 18th century courtyard architecture with people at play.
The work is in the original period, gilt wood frame with great old surface and patina. Photos also show the back of the artwork/piece with its original label.
Materials: paper, gilt wood frame and matte, glass.
Size: 22 inches L x 17 ½ inches H (56 cm x 45 cm).
Condition: Excellent vintage/antique. Wear consistent with age and use. Discoloration of the artwork. Some damage to the frame. The price is adjusted accordingly.
