The MCV tables designed by Matteo Fogale in collaboration with Rafael Antía are part of a collection of furniture based on the work of Uruguayan modernist architect Julio Vilamajó Echaniz. A result of Matteo’s residency with the British Council at the Museo Casa Vilamajó. Drawing inspiration from a detail on the facade of Vilamajó’s 1953 Faculty of Engineering at Montevideo’s University the designers created a family of two tables, made from cast concrete with a betón brut finish, tempered glass, Brazilian Lapacho (Ipe) wood and bespoke bronze fixings.
This tables are hand made to order, finishes might vary from those photographed (beauty lies in the imperfection of the cast concrete).
