It does show some signs of wear, but it is fully functional and beautiful as is. It is solid oak. The details in the carvings are absolutely stunning. The knobs and pulls are very detailed as well. There are 2 top drawers, 1 large middle drawer and 2 doors on the bottom. It is well made and can hold heavier items in the bottom door area. It has porcelain wheels/casters which makes it easier to move if needed. The top will come off to make it easier for transporting and carrying. less
