Six long drawers are surmounted by two short drawers set beneath a
marquetry frieze and a prominent architectural cornice with dental
moulding. The cockbeaded locking drawers, faced in swirled Mahogany,
are generous in depth and height providing substantial capacity for
storage of one's folded wardrobe or linens. The chest's base is serpentine
and raised on splayed feet with an effect to soften the case's strong
rectilinear lines and to enhance its lightness of form. less
