Similar to … more Exquisite large glossy white porcelain dish, heavily embellished with gold gilt, circa late 1800s. Marked Victoria Pottery, Bohemia. Similar to Old Paris pieces, this would have been made in what is now Czechoslovakia. Piece is in excellent condition with just the slightest bit of wear to the gilding noted on one of the scroll handles and a few other minor spots not readily noticed except on close inspection. We love the motif of two shells or two leaves which overlap each other.

Its large size indicates that this piece was perhaps intended as a serving piece. We see it now as a beautiful bowl for either serving as intended, or for display as a table centerpiece dish. We found one small manufacturing flaw where the porcelain formed a crease along the underside (pictured), and we point this out to distinguish it from a crack -- there are no cracks, no chips, nor any crazing.
