"Labyrinth" is a bright, joyful, abstract oil painting by contemporary artist Monica Shulman. This thickly layered, impasto style, vivid painting punctuates her rhythmic, gestural marks with varying shades of purples, violets, pinks, and reds, with tones of black and white. It also features a bright, surprising and chic metallic elements. "Labyrinth" will add dimension and a punch of texture and color to any space. This painting is painted on gallery wrapped canvas and is painted on all sides.
Monica creates all of her work in her brightly lit studio along the banks of the Hudson River in Dobbs Ferry, New York. She is constantly inspired by nature and the changing of the seasons.

Monica has been featured in various publications including The Washington Post, Popular Photography, Create magazine, and the Huffington Post. In 2022 she was inducted into the prestigious National Association of Women Artists. In 2019 she was named "Best Artist" in Westchester by Westchester magazine. Her work has been shown at the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York City, Photo LA, The National Arts Club in NYC, Art Market Hamptons, PULSE Art Fair, and the New York Mercantile Exchange, among others.
