The embossed leather really adds needed opulence to an otherwise more casual look and seamlessly helps to blend casual with formal design. The distressed finish is absolutely time-worn as these chairs were loved and hence were polished and cleaned often causing the chippy, removed finish look of the chairs. They are superb. The chairs have noticable paint wear and contrasting very clean and more recent looking leather fronts and seriously time-wornj wear and tear to the backs which have rips and tears. less
