The firm worked with designers of the Wiener Werkstätte (amongst others Josef Hoffmann en Koloman Moser). Marked underneath the seat: "Jacob & Josef Kohn, Teschen Austria". This chair model no. 17 was designed by Michael Thonet around 1865. It is said that the design was based on the architecture of Crystal Palace (London).
