An antique pink transferware platter manufactured by the French ceramic company Sarreguemines in the late 19th century. The platter has been made from a cream glazed faience and decorated with a pink transferware known as the Beranger pattern, after a popular French poet and songwriter. It features romantic scenes of people seen through their home windows. The rim has been decorated with a leaf garland pattern.
The underside of the faience tray has been stamped with the Sarreguemines manufacturer's mark and pattern name. less
