This a vintage 1970s white porcelain bowl from Bavaria, Germany has a delicate embossed design and a romantic figure holding a fruit bowl in 14kt gold leaf. On the bottom, it's marked “Rosenthal, studio-line, GERMANY, form: Romanze, design: Bjørn Wiinblad and includes the artist’s signature.
From Rosenthal Porcelain's Studio Line, this bowl was designed by Denmark's Bjorn Wiinblad for his “Romanze” series. Bjørn Wiinblad was a Danish painter, designer, and artist in ceramics, silver, bronze, textiles, and graphics. Museums the world over have Wiinblad's work in their collections. Among these are the Victoria and Albert Museum in London; the Museum of Modern Art in New York; and Stockholm's National Museum. less
