Van Melle started around 1840 as a bakery in Breskens The Netherlands
In 1900, Izaak van Melle also started producing it mechanically.
Isaac's brother Dirk-Machiel started around 1920 a factory for biscuits and waffles and foffees. This piece has an attribution mark,
