This large cylindrical glazed ceramic vase is painted an intense midnight blue and a luminous green, reminiscent of the aurora borealis. The characters evolve in relief. A long dragon wraps around the vase, its body and head covered with scales. The look of this mythological creature seems menacing with its large claws slicing through the cloudy sky. Another dragon emerges from a large jar. A samurai approaches to kill him. Body in motion and face serious, the warrior raises his katana ready to pounce on this flamboyant creature.
A very beautiful decorative object that will delight lovers of Japanese art and legends.
