This Atsuko Tanaka Abstract Mid Century Modernism museum exhibition poster print " Untitled ( 1 ) " 1956, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The exhibition poster print is published by The Moderna Museet Museum of Modern Art, printed in Sweden in 2019 on the occasion of the exhibition. Copyright Kanayam Akria and Tanaka Atsuko Association 2019. It features an artwork image originally created by Tanaka in 1956 titled " Untitled ( 1 ) ".
Atsuko Tanaka ( 1932 - 2005 ) the Japanese born artist who was a leading Avant-Garde artist is best known for her experimental Mid Century Modernist works in the 1950's and 1960's. Tanaka was an early member of Gutai, a radical group of Osaka based artists founded in 1954. Many of Tanaka's works involved electric light. She held he first solo exhibition in Japan in 1963. The Museum of Modern Art New York featured Tanaka's art works in the 1966 exhibition " The New Japanese Painting and Sculpture ". Several retrospective exhibitions devoted to the work of Tanaka have been held in Japan and The United States.
The museum exhibition poster print measures 19 3/4" W X 27 1/2" H. It is printed on high quality smooth finish paper stock with vibrant ink colors.
