The bowl features an exquisite twisted ribbon, zanfirico bowl, heavily encased in crystal glass folded with scalloped edges is unmistakably a mid-century Fratelli Toso creation. The white ribbons, delicately edged in copper aventurine, alternate with white thatched filigrana and with the thick crystal casing and tri- folded rim, the exquisite old Venetian latticino cane work style is suddenly a modern biomorphic beauty. This lovely Fratelli piece also phosflouresses under a blacklight attesting to the mineral content in the glass. With the exception of the good honest base wear (testimony to its age), this lovely piece is in perfect condition. This would make a perfect gift or use it for yourself! Beautiful old Murano art glass is wonderful on display, but even better for use in everyday life--as a trinket dish for your dresser or vanity, or even a soap dish in your guest bath. There is no maker's mark.
