It has a Large Fancy Deep Blue Hand Decorated Stylized Design on the Front - Possibly a Fern and 2 Leafs. It is Embossed with a Number 2 - that Denotes its 2 Gallon Liquid Storage Capacity. It is Embossed with the Well Documented CHARLESTOWN - BOSTON MASSACHUSETTS Makers Name - "EDMANDS & Co". These types of Jugs were typically used to Store and Preserve Liquids such as Water - Cider - Hard Ciders - Spirits - Liquors Etc. It is in Excellent All Original Condition - Displays Beautifully. It has a Very Small Chip at Spout Area. It has a Few Surface - Kiln Glaze Imperfections But these are Typical - Normal with These Types of American Stoneware Pieces and Would Have Occurred in the Making - Firing Process.
