Attractive and very useful George III style solid wood oval butlers tray of panelled construction, having original brass hinges and pierced handles to folding sides, housed on later square leg solid wood stand. The tray top lifts of to be used for serving, the edges fold down to make it flat and it sits on a solid wood stretchered base. The tray has four folding sides, held on original brass spring-loaded hinges. The rectangular bed of the tray is of a panelled construction. Beautifully made and proportioned. This would work well as a coffee table or as an occasional side table. It would make a real focal point in any period interior.
