The International Style comes from the Modern Movement (Bauhaus in Germany, Le Corbusier, and the Esprit Nouveau in France), an extension of Art Nouveau. This book invites the Parisian walker and tourists to recognize the buildings built in Paris by the greatest architects of the 1930s.
After the excitement of the Roaring Twenties, France faced a major economic crisis and political and social uncertainty. Cultural life sees the emergence of mass culture.
