About the artist:

Hebert Sánchez has emerged as a leading abstract expressionist artist focused upon depicting color and movement through his work. Each of his pieces have strong structural elements to them that takes it beyond the two dimensional form. These structural elements are refined, sensitive, and worked into the fabric itself without formulas.

Having studied at the School of Arts and Crafts Santo Domingo and Universidad Javeriana in Bogota and having painted for over 35 years, Sánchez has a wide range of artistic experiences. He has won first place at the Mode VII salon painting artists of Cundinamarca 2011 and also received an award at the Jury Guest Room II Art Ranger, Villavicencio Meta in December 2011.

Sanchez’s paintings are a reflection of his artistic process and particular attention is paid to these structural elements. These are seen in each and every layer or tone on the fabric as they are all part of the artistic process. See less
