Stunning French Sevres Soft Paste Porcelain and Ormolu Twin Handle Electric Table Lamp of traditional Urn form, and of large size proportions, raised on a square stepped base with ornate canted corners. Mid Nineteenth Century.
The twin lavish cast handles modelled as female faces below tall slender rope cast handles.
The hand painted central reserve depicting a seated Romantic Couple in Eighteenth Century Costume caressing a young lamb, in landscape background, back view with hand decoration depicting Summer Flowers within a decorative gilt surround detail on a Pale Pink ground.
Mid to late Nineteenth Century.
Condition: Good condition with no losses to porcelain, very light wear to gilding at front gilt frame surround. Professionally re-wired for electricity.
