This is an absolutely incredible custom chaise upholstered in a clean silvery lilac that appears more purple inside. The fabric is clean but some areas appear darker just from it being laid on. The frame is solid carved wood that forms a scroll. The wood is painted a silver leaf. The chaise becomes more narrow towards the bottom. It rests on two silver carved wood nautilus shells. The upholstery is a velvet with a subtle design carved into the textile. I can see this for a coastal home but also for a modern home. The shell legs and the curled design take me to the ocean. The amount of fabric needed is not as much due to the large areas of wood. It is astounding! In keeping with some of the Kagan pieces I have seen.
Condition: Wood is solid. Finish can be used with few scrapes. Fabric can be used or replaced and is clean. The under cheese cloth is loose. Small piping needs to be tacked.
