A fine hand painted and glazed ceramic Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie) by the famed Ronzan Brothers. Maker's mark and "Made in Italy" signed under the glazing. Circa 1980s. This pup has a face that will capture hearts and beautiful rich colors of charcoal and brown with white streaks throughout. The lines and details of this figure were impeccably done by this modeller.
Giovanni Ronzan and his brothers founded the Ronzan Factory (Italy) in the 1940s after Giovanni left his job as chief painter and ceramic modeller at the Lenci Factory.
