I love this sparkly pair of sweetheart plates! Made by Crooksville China (Crooksville, Ohio), the pattern is called "Delmar Rose." It features a large pink rose, just opening from a bud, with dark green leaves, surrounded by very ornate 22 karat gold filigree trim. The shape is a very mid-century modern style called Iva-Lure, not quite round but not quite square. The plates measure 9.25 inches wide across the middle, which would classify them as luncheon plates.
Both plates are in very good to excellent condition. There are just a couple of very light scratch marks. The pink rose designs and gold trim are very intact and solid on both plates, and there are no chips, cracks, or crazing that I can see.
The back of each plate has two marks. One if a green script logo for "Iva-lure | by | Crooksville | U.S.A. F-S (or E-S on the other)." The second mark is a gold stamp that reads "Delmar Rose | Warranted | 22-KT Gold."
