An amazing early to mid 20th century art glass wedding decanter or cruet
All mouth blown, hand molded and hand painted enameled glass, aka Moser style
Aqua blue / light turquoise green color
Intricate shape with two sections, two pouring spouts and two necks with stoppers
Lavishly decorated with glass ruffles on the applied handles and twists around the necks and the base
Exquisitely hand painted all over with vividly colored raised enamels and golden highlights, featuring floral motifs
Two swans on top of the stoppers
A typical piece of art from the renown Catalan Majorcan art glass studios in Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain. Possibly by Vidrios da Arte Gordiola, the Gordiola Glassmaking Company, which is the oldest, established in 1719
The Mallorcan production rivals the best examples of the Venetian and Murano glassworks
In July 2021 the technique of glass-blowing was recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Signed Cire.. by the artist Genis Cirera Casanova (1890-1970)
The signature is in gilt cursive, in between the flowers on one side of the bottle, toward the bottom, hardly discoverable. Please see the last photo
