A very beautiful tall pewter flagon or tankard
Dated upfront , which suggests that it could've been made even earlier, it the late 1700's
Beautifully wriggle work engraved decoration with oval cartouche in the center with the date 1802, points and zigzag lines and waves
Possibly German Schnabelstize (spouted flagon) or snavelkan, as suggested by the large ball thumb piece. Similar forms were also made in Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, Strasbourg -France (reference: Pewter Tankards and Flagons, online publication)
Clear mark on the inside of the vessel, consisting of 4-petal flower in a square and in a circle. Additional research will be needed for identification

Measurements: Approx. 5" widest diameter x 6" spout to handle x 11.75" high
Weighs about 3 lb.3oz.
