The bodies are handmade with red clay in the form of chimineas and pinched or squeezed into four sides. They are marked with sgraffito rings from the top to the bottom. Both are handmade, so they slightly vary. They are covered in a white glaze. There is crackelure in the glaze in the glaze. This may be deliberate or due to age. They were made between 1937 and the 1959. Orientalist reliefs adorn each of the 4 sides. Factory impections have some glaze on the edges. The top of the lamps have old brass torchiere fixtures with waffle textured milk glass shades. They are 35 inches high to the top of the shades and the bodies are 22 inches high and a girth circumference of 30 inches. The attached bases are 3/4 inch pottery rings that are unglazed on the outside and show the color of the pottery. The lamps are weighty at around 17 pounds each. The bottoms have the Zaccagnini mark which is the same as in the Italian archive. less
