Description: This very colorful hand-painted serving plate is made by Noritake, and dates to the 1920s or 1930s. It has the … more This very colorful hand-painted serving plate is made by Noritake, and dates to the 1920s or 1930s. It has the red "M" import mark for Morimura/Made in Japan, which was discontinued prior to 1939. The plate has a lovely design of floral bouquets connected with bright green bands around the verge and rim. The outer edge of the rim has gold trim, and the pierced handles have thicker gold trim.

The plate measures 9.75 inches wide across the handles, 9-3/8 inches across the middle, and about 1.25 inches high at the tops of the handles. It is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, utensil marks, or scuffs. There is very faint wear to the gold trim on one handle (see closeup photos).

The bottom has a clear red mark for "Noritake | M | Hand Painted | Made in Japan."
