This is a set of three (3) oval platters from Crown Ducal's Bristol pattern in pink. Registration number 762055. Each plate has scalloped embossed edges and features an asiatic pheasants pattern similar to those popular in the Victorian age. All plates are in excellent vintage condition; please view condition notes and photos carefully for a detailed look at these items.

Crown Ducal is a name used on some pieces of porcelain produced by earthenware manufacturers A.G. Richardson and Co., Ltd. of England, first at the Gordon Pottery in Tunstall, then Cobridge, Stoke-on-Trent. In use since 1916, Crown Ducal was known for producing high quality tableware, but also a range of 'fancies'. Richardson introduced several new tableware shapes in the 1930's, including the "Premier" shape in 1931. The Bristol pattern was the most popular of the new Premier shape; it began selling in American markets in the 30's and remained in production for the next several decades. less
