Large and beautiful bronze proof with a golden patina signed Thomas François Cartier (1879 - 1943), a French animal sculptor known for his passion for dogs, which he represented on numerous occasions.
This work represents a German shepherd at rest, climbing on a rock. The agile and elegant dog is wearing a large collar made of studded leather. His posture is slender and his fur shiny.
The signature is affixed on the terrace.
The artist conveys his love for man's best friend in this touching and singular work.
