This authentic 18th century map by Robert de Vaugondy depicting the identified areas. It is a hand colored copperplate engraving printed in Paris, circa 1784. The copperplates used to print these maps were engraved by E. Dussy. These maps were issued between 1775 - 1785. De Vaugondy was 'geographer to the King' of France. Period hand coloring. Printed on laid paper with full margins and embellished by an ornate cartouche. Single fold as issued. Good condition with toning/foxing consistent w/ age (over 235 years old).
