Description: Chinese landscape scroll, freely drawn, colored inks on heavy paper, mounted on a shimmering silver, light blue and gray, silk … more Chinese landscape scroll, freely drawn, colored inks on heavy paper, mounted on a shimmering silver, light blue and gray, silk brocade in a dragon medallions, lattice pattern, signed, with two poems in caoshu script with numerous red seal marks in various shapes and sizes, scattered about the top and bottom of the image. The image size is 24.75" wide x 50" high. With a black silk makio and kakio at the top and mahogany jikusaki at the bottom. The outer scroll covering is a gold colored raw silk embossed with a floral pattern. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century.

In the left foreground three fishermen walk along a path past steep, rocky riverbanks covered in gloriously rendered, gnarled pines, trees and bushes above the small punchbowl of the segmented waterfall at right foreground. less
