Swedish jewelry designer Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe (1927 - 2004) was the first female silversmith in her native country and made some of Dansk’s most enduring designs. Take this elegant round Teak wood cheese and charcuterie board from 1960s (when Torun was first hired as an in-house designer). The sculptural wood and steel knife seems to rest flat on the board. Lift it up, however, and you’ll find a surprise.
The board (marked Denmark on the bottom) measures 11" in diameter and 3/4" in thickness
The cheese knife with two tear-shaped pieces of Teak wood adhered to either side of the handle measures approximately 1 1/2" x 9 1/2" x 1 1/4"
The original box is included and it measures 13.5" by 11.5" by 1.25"
