It has been completely reupholstered inside and out. Previously it lived with 5 cats so as you can imagine we couldn’t keep anything. My upholstery team did a phenomenal job transforming this beautiful piece of the Mid Century. It always makes me mad that people are reproducing this design only to charge more or equal amount of money as having an original piece. When to us collectors of Mid Century Modern furniture, the beauty and the value is in having an original piece. I got this piece from a family who had inherited it from a parent. The challenge of restoring it was too much for them so they decided to give it a chance with someone else. So, do you think I did it justice?
