This quality piece of furniture is comfortable and in excellent, original and unrestored vintage condition and has held up remarkably well over time. Chartreuse in color the upholstery is of a soft velour showing minimal age related wear around the arms of the chair (see photos for details). There do not appear to be any stains, rips or tears in the fabric. The seat cushion is zippered and upholstered on both sides. Springs and upholstery still feel tight. No attempts have been made to clean the upholstery other than a thorough vacuuming.
The swivel base is constructed of wood and still functions as it should. This chair has good bones and is solidly built.
