This unique spacial painting brings to mind The 1920s classic film "Metropolis" directed by The German auteur Fritz Lang in 1924. The acrylic painting features distinct cones, orbs and and inter-related squares. It brings to mind another world or perhaps a essence of our own future.
Another distinct property of this painting is a indistinct layer of finely grained sand that gives a fine layered texture to the all over appeal of this piece. I found this beauty in a Bohemian style antique store in the North Beach Section of San Francisco. It's housed in it's original pine wood hand made frame. Signed on the back by Laurel.
