[1]about:
David Linley (British) founded LINLEY in 1985, choosing to follow his passion of cabinet-making in favor of more traditional career paths. (2nd Earl of Snowdon, styled as Viscount Linley until 2017 and known professionally as David Linley, not only an English furniture maker, but a former chairman of the auction house Christie's UK, and with his sister, Lady Sarah Chatto, maternal first cousin of King Charles III.)[2}
Linley’s creative ability was nurtured by his parents, Princess Margaret and Antony Armstrong-Jones, First Earl of Snowdon, from an early age as they encouraged his passion for making things. His father, an eminent photographer, was particularly influential, having himself trained as an architect and designed, among other things, the aviary at the London Zoo. Linley attended Bedales School, an alternative school, which emphasized arts and crafts, where he developed an avid interest in wood-working, honing his professional skills at a specially designated School for Craftsmen in Wood he attended subsequently.
Linley has written three books, and has lectured around the world at prestigious venues, such as the Victoria and Albert Museum and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
