He designed costumes for the Opera and classical theatre as well. His ladies are always draped in long flowing designs that may feature beading and gold lame'. Sometimes the ladies are featured with lavish bird headdresses while elegantly holding a fan. I found this piece at a Bel Air California estate sale. It is authenticated on the back of the plate.
